چکیده

In behavior-based robotics the control of a robot is shared between a set of purposive perception-action units, called behaviors. Based on selective sensory information, each behavior produces immediate reactions to control the robot with respect to a particular objective, i.e., a narrow aspect of the robot's overall task such as obstacle avoidance or wall following. Behaviors with di erent and possibly incommensurable objectives may produce con icting actions that are seemingly irreconcilable. Thus a major issue in the design of behavior-based control systems is the formulation of e ective mechanisms for coordination of the behaviors' activities into strategies for rational and coherent behavior. This is known as the action selection problem (also refereed to as the behavior coordination problem) and is the primary focus of this overview paper. Numerous action selection mechanisms have been proposed over the last decade and the main objective of this document is to give a qualitative overview of these approaches. 2

Evaluation of Pharmacological Activity of Heterobimetallic Coordination Compounds Containing N, N-Bis (2-hydroxyethyl)-Ethylenediamine on HT29, HeLa, C6 and Vero cells

The present study was conducted in order to investigate the pharmacological activities of three heterobimetallic coordination compounds: [Cd(N-bishydeten)2][Ni(CN)4] (C1), [Cu2(N-bishydeten)2Co(CN)6].3H2O (C2), and K[Cd(N-bishydeten)Co(CN)6].1.5H2O (C3) (N-bishydeten = N,N-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-ethylenediamine). This paper describes the ability of complexes to inhibit cell growth, cell migration ...

Effect of Seizure During Pregnancy on Cognitive and Motor Coordination Performances in Adult Male Offspring of Female Mice: The Role of Serum Corticosterone Level

Introduction: Human and animal models have demonstrated that seizure during pregnancy can cause cognitive and motor impairments in the offspring. However, the mechanisms of this effect need to be elucidated. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of seizure during pregnancy on cognitive and motor performances of the adult male offspring with an emphasis on the hypothalamic–pitu...

Distributed Coordination of Resources via Wasp-Like Agents

Agent-based approaches to scheduling have gained increasing attention in recent years. One inherent advantage of agent-based approaches is their tendency for robust behavior; since activity is coordinated via local interaction protocols and decision policies, the system is insensitive to unpredictability in the executing environment. At the same time, such \self-scheduling" systems presume that...
